If what they were doing was having any effect at advancing some cause or spreading beyond fugly purple haired whackos, maybe.
But with how this is playing currently, I'm not sure we need much of an army to combat it beyond a few token patriotic frat boys here and there. I actually think the fact that such is all it takes to drown out their nonsense pretty much says everything that is necessary.

In this case the left wing is organizing against itself. Left wing college students protesting against left wing college administrators and our left wing government.

I get that. In this specific case we should do what we are doing. Mock them and ridicule them and hold a mirror up to them because they are self- repudiating. But the structural forces behind them must be dismantled and we will be the ones who have to do it. The next 4 years are going to be confrontational in a way we haven’t seen since the Civil War. We will either defend Western civilization or lose it to the ideological primitives.

I have barely paid attention. The movement is irrelevant, it will accomplish nothing, and its just an excuse for the unattractive out-crowd losers to draw some attention to themselves. Ignore the problem and it will go away like everything else.

The people organizing it are the same, for the same reasons. They don't care about Left or Right, Hamas or Israel. Just getting people riled up.
