Oddly enough I reached out to my pastor recently because he said something in a recent sermon that was very subtle and alerted me he wasn’t in the tank for them. So I went out on a limb and asked his thoughts, and he had a very long and great conversation on it, and he was on the same page. He’s only in his mid to late 40s though. Anyone older than that is completely lost.

But that discussion has to remain largely a secret because of how strong the programming is.

I feel crazy sometimes because it’s not like I’m the one saying radical things, but the reactions to anything other than full blown support are vicious.

SBC is what I grew up as. I had heaps of my own brainwashing to deal with.

And just to be clear, I don’t support Hamas, or the Muslims, or anything like that. I just decided to actually read everything I could find on this issue and realized most of what I knew wasn’t true. And I’m tired of “standing with Israel” when they caused most of their own problems and we don’t owe them anything.

I know but I keep having to say it for the record for everyone reading because it’s the default assumption, because why would anyone even consider saying anything short or “they should flatten Gaza”, eh?
