Something as complex as voting by mailing would take years to implement effectively on such a large and complex scale.

Not crammed together in 80 or so days

Nope. My vote goes straight to the ballot box, not the mail carrier.

There are voting systems in place to use. There has been nothing done or should there be on such short sighted changes.

In Florida we don’t have absentee ballots, hence why Trump votes by mail. We also have many people who list their primary residence as Florida though they have house in other states because of tax reasons. They’re not in Florida in November but would still like to vote. I have second house in Colorado but we are here during most elections. So yes the military and people who live seasonally should be allowed to vote too.

Just tell people if you are scared of Covid and voting in person then request an absentee ballot. Nothing more should be done

Legitimate absentee, as always? Yes.

Unsolicited shotgun mailings? Might as well just shut it all down. There have got to be literally dozens of ways to rig an election that way.

absentee voting, yes

any other type, no, not unless there is a proven system in place that can 100% verify the person is a registered legal voter who hasnt also voted absentee or in person already in real time to shred the millions of fake votes dimrats manufactured

IF the ballots have the fingerprints of the voter on them. Also a place for the fingerprints of someone filling out the ballot for the voter. That person must be an immediate family member or a non-family member who may ONLY fill out one ballot for someone else. Any violation of the law to be punishable by a minimum of 10 years in prison. Three or more such transgressions to equal a mandatory life sentence.

You mean a voting system that allows people to hide their identity? No, I don’t like that.

If a voter requests an absentee ballot, that's ok.

Carpet bombing voter rolls with mail in ballots, will tie up this elections results in perpetuity .

This is my thought. I don’t believe universal vote by mail has to be fraudulent. In fact, I think any type of large scale fraud would be difficult to commit in any type of real numbers. The problem is the presidential election is prime time for elections. To implement that on the fly is like starting a team and going straight to the Olympics without playing any lower level competition to iron the kinks out. The margin for error is much smaller.

I think we need to do like they do in 3rd world countries, everybody shows up to vote and you get that dye on your thumb that takes a month to wear off.

I don't even think we should have absentee voting. Either show up on voting day or you don't get to vote. All voting days should be moved to a Saturday or make that day a national holiday so everyone has off.

Yes if you registered properly for it and then received a coded ballot. Then you mail it in with whatever vote you want to cast. The kicker is that each ballot has a unique identifier so if there were 2 of the same identifiers then the ballot was copied and both of those votes are set to the side.

Could easily be done across the nation so no matter how many falsified votes there are, they would get caught and not counted.

Yes, it would take too long to implement.

Stupid thread

Edit: I did check Kentucky on this, it specifically states only in person and absentee ballot voting will be allowed.
