I think lawyers are going to do more to rid us of this practice than anyone else.

I believe this too. It’s impossible for a teen to give informed consent on a surgery like this no matter how many documents they sign. They parents need to be made co defendants

Screw her and her family. This bullshite is their fault from the start. The family didn't think ahead of what it would be like to have their daughters tits cut off??

Agreed.
I have been saying that from the beginning.
That's actually what has happened in other countries where this has been going on longer. That's why countries in Europe are puling back from this nonsense. The lawsuits have had time to go through.

I think you're correct but the influence on weak minded Americans from our academic institutions and media is also playing a huge role in conditioning people to behave irrationally.

I know yeah.. but this started with her and her parents. I'm sure there was no friction at the hospital to not do this... They were probably cheering her on.
But... the family was who decided to the best method of "treatment" is to cut off her breast. And they didn't think that through? They didn't stop to think what effects that may have?

Any downvote just tells me you side with the family in this court case that decided to cut their daughters breasts off. Why? Why would you side with them? It was their decision. They caused this. Period.

I agree on the issue of her parent's culpability but just what is going to make the medical facilities think twice outside of the courts? I'd prefer to see the Mengele wannabees charged criminally but a massive civil judgement would be a step in the direction.

Not just those influences, but the medical "professionals" in these cases are not following ethical standards.
They are intentionally fear mongering the parents and intentionally withholding likely side effects and intentionally skewing the parent's perceptions of the risk-reward ratio.
They need to be held accountable for that sort of behavior. It's not o.k. to do that about any medical procedure (including COVID vaccinations).

I will be the first to say I do have a big issue with the medical facilities offering these services. I think it' one of the dumbest things ever.. especially some offering treatment to patients as young as 4? People should be beaten with a metal baseball bat...
But I don't think these facilities should be held accountable in the courts over a bad decision of the family.
I do agree that lawsuits may be the only thing to slow down to stupid things going on. Won't be enough cases to cause that though I don't think.

I disagree. I hope they clean everyone out from the first grooming to the end act.
The family apparently has had a 180 and probably a stream of hate from the daughter.
When surgeons start getting sued for this groomer end stage shite.. it will start slowing down.

I don't know...
I think there is a HUGE amount of information out there which is very easily obtainable. If you have a child that is interested in doing this, I think the parents would easily be able to seek out this info.
I'm assigning blame to both parties here, but a vast bulk of that blame should go to that family.
I think some of you are just wanting to go after the medical professionals (and rightly so), but this shite starts with parents and the actual frick-in-the-head patient.
When you go to a plastic surgeon to get you lips pumped up with injections, and then claim your lips are big. Well, duh shite.
That's just how I see it.

I think this is where I land. Yeah, the doc might be a pos but financially liable? They requested a service, he provided it.
