Is this the trial or something else?

it is pretty obvious to me that Cohen was trying to get in Trump's good graces by taking care of these things. Why else would he have to take out a mortgage to do it? Trump could have just told one of his sons to give Cohen the money if Trump himself didnt want to be involved.
Daniels conned Cohen with this story originally and then Daniels got paid again by the DNC to tell this BS to media as a campaign tool against Trump.
When trump didnt bring Cohen to DC and shut him out, Cohen got pissed and started leaking info to the media. Then the story got out and blew up in cohen's face

Congressional hearing, I’m not sure but I think the judge denied him as a witness despite him testifying to the grand jury.

This is unconscionable. I can't even begin to understand how anyone can cheer this on, even if you hate Trump. Merchan is an absolute tyrant.

why else would a powerful man keep a "fixer" on retainer? Its not like he's some brilliant attorney. The guy was there to create a degree of separation between Trump and the wet work.
But none of this stuff is new. The media just wants to relitigate Stormy because they feel the story had traction.

Exactly what traction do they honestly think it has? Seriously... is there ANYTHING that has come out of this sham trial that has made a single person say "You know, that changes things. Donald Trump IS a very bad person, I just didn't realize it until this trial. I'll be voting for Biden."

I dont know. Its like the tax return thing. The left thought it would be the end of Trump, but no one cared.

How deranged would that person have to be? To look over the last few years and still vote Biden one must either be in on the downfall of the USA plan or mentally incapacitated. Even severe TDS allows for other than the binary choice.

And he’s so vengeful now because Trump didn’t give him a cabinet position that he wanted so badly

Is this guy going to testify in NY?

Herein lies the main problem with having big tech and Hollywood amplify your BS:. You get really bad at "reading the room".
Now combine that with serial election stealing which insulates you from having to concern yourself with minor things like the will of the people.
Add in a couple diversity hires who never learned to actually be effective or do their job and you are left with the modern democrat party.

Should Trump defense team call Rep. Dan Goldman as their first witness?
Purpose would be to build on the defense that this trial is all dirty politics gone extreme. The defense would first trap Goldman by seeing if he tries to assert attorney privilege. If he does then it's a slam dunk it nothing but corrupt politics.
If he has no attorney privilege then there is a whole lot they can ask him on the stand. How he came to assist Cohen in preparing him? Was he paid to assist? By whom? What did he coach Cohen on in preparation?
Then, bring up Goldman's ties to the Judges daughter. The judge would try to rule against the question but it's a fair question since the defense asserts the case is about politics. Now open the whole can of worms.
The only negative would be the prosecution cross exam. They could potentially ask Goldman about information he obtained during he impeachment investigations to which he could make up information without providing proof of his testimony.
I personally would love to see him called right out the gate. Talk about a bombshell witness.

Simon Ateba is awesome. He drives KJP crazy at WH press corps.
