Seems like he previously spent time for the same thing and eluding police and marijuana manufacturing.

I disagree. When you have a government ignoring true criminals in order to harass and target others they need reminded at every turn.
It’s bubbas with a gun and traditional Latin mass people who have been identified by the government as threats, not drug dealing ghetto dwellers so the reminder should be there at every turn.
