Spectacular speed correction and colorization of original 1907 film from an electric cable car (just as in San Francisco the year before.)

There are many comments noting the druggie-festooned streets (with great disappointment and resentment for Canadian policies) the same exact observation at YouTube (while also noting how clean everything is at the time in 1907)...

Remember -- according to census figures, the supposed population by 1901 is only 26,000 people. Vancouver is conspicuously waaaay built out for that sparse a population.

That's a street car in the pic.

Cable cars are moved via cable embedded in the street. They do not have electric motors.

Vancouver population reminder:

1887: 1,000
1891: 14,000
1901 26,000

There are plenty of things to notice in the vid dated 1907...

-- btw, ambient sound is added

-- -- Buildings & storefronts already look aged and old for a supposedly "brand new" city. As do electric poles, street lights, curbs, etc. Vancouver 1907 architecture and street scenes appears as if it could be any other old city in Europe (or Mainstreet, USA.)

-- Some buildings look empty.

-- "Antiquitech" antennae and mercury balls all over (street overhead electric lines are there -- but mostly faded out)

-- Everyone appears dressed to the nines for church, suit & tie. Where are all the regular workers and craftsmen?

-- People seem to be purposely walking and crossing the street right in front of the cable car; some are acutely aware of it. One lady stops and waves. Does any of this look "natural"? And un-random?

Possible or plausible:

WAS THIS PARTICULAR FILMING A PLANNED, STAGED, CHOREOGRAPHED EVENT BY THE CONTROLLERS? (Similar San Francisco footage pre-Earthquake was said to have been choreographed and planned with several vehicles and people seen weaving back into front of that cable car.)

**************************************************************************

Given the historical narrative for the time we are told, none of it makes any logical sense. It gives much pause that with so sparse population that such an intricate, vast city could be built so quickly -- with its ornate towering buildings, its city street grid, electric lines grid & installation, rail grid AND entire infrastructure grid. (And here we go again: A 'Great Vancouver Fire' in 1886 is said to have destroyed 1000 buildings. Get that? 1886 -- 1000 buildings already in Vancouver at that earlier time went POOF!! )

Vancouver of early 1900s looks like its already a 250+ year old city. What say you?

The steepled Gothic Church (upper right) looks like a very old cathedral fond in Dresden or Cologne Germany. Entire area from aloft...looks as though it has already been well established for hundreds of years. (Of course IF this is true, the entire historical narrative of North America has to be changed.)

"Bank of Montreal" (already looking like a typical c.1500 or earlier Parisian building)

No this seems legit to me (born and raised in Vancouver).

Main reason for the growth and abundance was it was done privately by the Canadian Pacific Railway. The citizens distrusted government and resisted for 80 years nationalizing the transit system.

Some dude in England led the development of BC Electric which led to the street car design.

Ironic now that Van is a socialist hotbed - it started really as a frontier built by private enterprise.

ELECTRIC. Confirmed on the thread. Overhead ELECTRIC wiring.

Ignorant as usual. What's the matter? Can't find a Trump thread to troll, Counselor Whine & Cheese?

Can you confirm the history and timing of that?

The Canadian Pacific Railway is referred to constantly as having been THE one main facilitator of "growth". Is it true or just the narrative?

How than did this infrastructure became built out like a city already 100-200 years old -- with a population of just 1,000 in 1887, 14,000 in 1891 and 26,000 in 1901?

There’s really only four possible answers:
1. They didn’t build it, but found it and renovated it.

2. They didn’t build it, but conquered it from a previously existing civilization and erased the records of said conquest/genocide.

3. They did build it, but did so significantly earlier, and the census numbers are wrong.

4. The built it exactly how and when they said they did. The only reason anyone thinks this is strange is because our current day governments have so over-regulated and zoned society that it is now impossible to replicate these things.

Appreciate your feedback as an actual citizen ....

An aside:

I realize you and many others won't concur with the following theory:

Many others have done extensive research, connecting the dots, believing there's been a major but un-acknowledged World War between European powers (England, France, Dutch/Germans, Spain, Scandinavia) over North American territories that created a Reset as of the 1850s. The unacknowledged WW is aid to have started under the haze of the "Napoleonic War".

This would explain why Vancouver and every other major North American cities appear much older.

I'd have a field day checking out official archives and the city layout and buildings.

Every major city in North America seems to be hijacked hotbed of Marxism (incl Vancouver.)

You called it an electric cable car. As I quoted from your OP.

Play some more word games you fricking moron.

Jesus you're a stupid frick.

As the poster said above, Vancouver was the western terminus of the Canadian Pacific Railway, the first transcontinental railroad in Canada. Vancouver also had a fire the leveled most of the city in the 1890s.

Tell us why you think that style of building has to be 100+ years old at the time of the pic. It looks a lot like the downtown of my hometown of 5,000 people.

Idiots like this are so fun to bury.

btw-Seattle went from 42K to well over 200K in less than 20 years. Is that odd to you as well Moon Bat?

Nice. 1 + 2 are THE right answer. (You been doing more research? ;-)

Logistically, Vancouver cannot be nearly as young as the narrative claims.

The "New Orleans" story is the most bizarre story of conquest and revisionism (I'll be posting up on it soon).
