I been riding in F150s since 98. Last Thur was the first time the ole F150 failed me and I had to hit the Reebok Road in Fruitdale, AL. 150,000 miles and the alternator shite the bed 30 miles from the nearest parts store.

Luckily a good ole boy was going into town and gave me a ride round trip. He was a talker. Yada Yada Yada for an hour round trip. I just said an occasional Yep, No shite, and Unh Hu.

Total delay was about 4 hours with 20-30 minutes to swap out the alternator.

My first Ford truck was a '91 F-150. Traded it to my next door neighbor for some roof repairs. It had 534,000 miles on it then. Neighbor has since died and his family sold it for 500$ to an old guy in town. I still see it occasionally when he's puttering around town. Been driving Ford trucks ever since.

Tribalism, defined by truck brands. It's weird.

I try a new brand seemingly every time I get a new truck. They're all decent. Really happy with the Tundra right now though.

I love me some Chevy, but then I'm a Southern Male and was taught the value of the dollar so I buy Dodge.

It's just amazing to me how many POS Chevys I see around. Tailgate handles missing, buttons/dash peeling, blown transmissions, etc. No other truck on the road seems as poorly built as Chevy/gmc IMO, and I used to have one.

this...I had one, will never own another, I have a f150 and would drive it or a tundra all day over a chevy /gmc again

Drove GM trucks all my life until I bought 2014 F-350. Will not go back to GM product(Obama motors).
My previous truck was 2012 GMC 2500, the Ford rides smoother & quieter, better fuel mileage, more power, uses half as much DEF, and is better quality in general.

By far, the #1 truck you see on a flatbed or the side of the road is the F250/350

Sorry but according to registration data, Ford is the favorite in La, Ms, Ar, and Tx. Chevy is more popular in the midwest. BTW my Fords have been flawless. No way in hell I'll ever support Government Motors!

my GM products have been flawless. My Ford F250 on the other hand, was total shite. 3 transmissions before 120,000 miles. I give GM the edge on amenities and the Duramax/Allison combo. I know its all personal choice, but no truck can match the Duramax IMO- at least so far.

A lot of the sales numbers are fleet vehicles

I'm sure the Fords are great but I think the new ones are ugly.

Seems like that southern males love Chevy, I'm going by number if used vehicles for sale and personal experience.
I think you're making an assumption that cannot be supported.

I bought a chevy because I was gifted an employee golden ticket of sorts. The money saved over the similarly equipped Ford was just too much to ignore. I pull a 5er that is probably on the edge for overloading a 1/2 ton. I am not going to chance that on a Japanese truck.

Every new chevy I see has a Swamp Assassin sticker, light bar, and mud tires
