Rode from Baptiste through Delta Duck down to South Pass last weekend. Everything south of Main Pass looks rough, dead grass and plenty of gators with little to no birds. (plenty of specks and rat reds on south pass tho).
90% of the birds i saw were on Baptiste, but still nothing compared to years past. We need another front to push the big ducks down

No water in our usual holes. I'm wondering if my fish pond might draw in some ducks. I was on the stand last week and saw several groups heading toward it.

Hunted vet youth active duty down in Venice. Ducks were scarce. Saw probably 1/10 of the birds we normally would see. Shot our pintail both days. Saw mostly pintails and dosgris. We shot a variety of birds but passed on the dogs.
Teal were close to non existent where we hunted. Pond is normally full of the Wild rice and grass but is basically bare as the moons surface this year.

Looks like this next week is step in right direction. Will be interesting to see how much gets absorbed and how much is left holding

What areas? Northeast is showing 1.2” total between now and next weekend. Not sure if that’ll be enough for us.
