You’re obviously a contrarian blowhard.

It’s not a hypothetical game and many a service member has been involved in similar circumstances. It’s why veterans courts have been established in jurisdictions across the country.

The main point is the loss of the 2nd Amendment RTBA that “shall not be infringed”.

Meh, I just don't think using the example of John Rambo got in a fight and seriously fricked someone up to the point they were convicted in a court of law and sentenced to prison is a good idea.

There are mechanisms to petition the court to reinstate each of these rights if you've been out of jail for many years and never reoffended and got your shite together. Those rights are almost always reinstated in those cases.

There is a federal law on the books that allows you to petition to reinstate firearms rights, but Congress has included budget language for the last several decades that prohibits ATF from spending a penny to carry out the law. The Supreme Court upheld the practice back in the 90s.

Exactly. That program is not funded. There is no way to get your record cleared at this time as far as a background check to buy a gun.

This case was based on a guy convicted of non-violent crimes.

If you’re convicted of a gun crime, I think your right to carry firearms should be revoked.

I don't necessarily disagree with the felon firearm law being struck down, especially if you consider that we are seemingly incapable or unwilling to enforce anything to do with it. This will set a precedent, though, and we will have to deal with that down the line.

I will never understand the rationale behind thinking that it's the right thing to do but let's not do it because it sets a precedent. That's just backwards logic.

As a guy who prides himself on being a pompous arse, you're a real count for using this word on a message board...

This place is for the discussion of sniffing butt holes, don't try and make the joint all grandiose.

Edit:

I would like to apologize, I thought this post was on the OT
