You’re obviously a contrarian blowhard.
It’s not a hypothetical game and many a service member has been involved in similar circumstances. It’s why veterans courts have been established in jurisdictions across the country.
The main point is the loss of the 2nd Amendment RTBA that “shall not be infringed”.

Meh, I just don't think using the example of John Rambo got in a fight and seriously fricked someone up to the point they were convicted in a court of law and sentenced to prison is a good idea.

There is a federal law on the books that allows you to petition to reinstate firearms rights, but Congress has included budget language for the last several decades that prohibits ATF from spending a penny to carry out the law. The Supreme Court upheld the practice back in the 90s.

Exactly. That program is not funded. There is no way to get your record cleared at this time as far as a background check to buy a gun.
