I forgot the VX in mine.

If you’re hunting with that gun in the south, the 3-15 is more than enough.

If hunting out west the 4-20 might be a little better, but in 95% of your shots, the 3-15 will be more than enough.

We have a couple cutovers where you “could” shoot out to 500. Also some long firebreaks..

When did we start referring to a scope as glass?

Some good glass and a little practice and 500 yards is not a big deal.
A good gun obviously being a big part of the equation.

Not a 300prc but his slower and less aerodynamic brother the 300wm.
I have a nightforce shv 5-20-56 my next scope will probably be a trijicon ten mile. If you’re only planning on shooting to 400 then 14-16 power on the top end is plenty.

I have a Swaro Z6 on my 6.5 PRC and a NF ATACR on my 300 win mag AR.

I guess it all depends on what you want to do with the gun but both are great glass.

Leupold Mark 5 5-25x56 on my Browning Hells Canyon 300 PRC. The CDS dial Leupold offers is a game changer. The gun is a tack driver. I was dead set on getting a Night Force for it but when I looked through it side by side with the Leupold it didn't seem to have the clarity.

Love the gun but it's heavy as frick. Kinda wish I would have gone with a Carbon barrel rifle.

Have a Leupold VX6 3-18 CDS on my 30 Nosler and a VX5 3-15 CDS on my 280 AI. The VX6 was prolly overkill. I use both for open field, turnrow, and power line, pipeline shots.

Both have no problems putting every bullet on a 6" plate at 500 (handloads). That's as far as I practice and am willing to go. They are perfect for hunting inside that range.
