WWE Friday Night Smackdown Thread: Royalty of the Ring Edition

No AEW Rampage tonight due to the Stanley Cup Playoffs taking precedence on TNT... that'll be tomorrow night after Collision
WWE Friday Night Smackdown comes from the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Penn.
All of tonight's announced matches are King & Queen of the Ring Tournament First Round matches
Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles (banger alert)
Angelo Dawkins (filling in for the injured Bobby Lashley) vs. Tama Tonga
Baron Corbin vs. Carmelo Hayes
Bianca Belair vs. Candice LeRae
Jade Cargill vs. Piper Niven
(hmmm... I wonder if the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champions might meet in a 1v1 match somewhere in the QotR Tournament... perhaps the final?)
Naomi vs. Nia Jax

Looks like they are pushing Carmelo more than Montez…. Ford is a much better performer…. Jade, Bianca, and Naomi all win tonight… am I seeing a trend here????

hi G... I'm good and I hope you are too
the SLU softball team won the Southland Tournament on a walk-off 3-run home run (down 2 at the time of the HR... so it was [potentially] the difference between a loss and a win)
the SLU baseball team entered the weekend a game back of Houston Christian (and lose the tiebreaker to them too) for the final spot with 6 games left... SLU won its game today 9-0 so now they watch if they can get some help from McNeese... could be tied with the Huskies for the final spot by the end of the night
ETA: TL;DR... no it's not looking good for them to qualify for the SLC Tournament... but they're not done yet
