Saved lives. ATV rider was driving like a maniac.

as a jury person on the trial holding the cop accountable I would vote to convict.
why??he blocked the road forcing the accident

I’m glad he did so. Guy on ATV clearly going too fast to avoid stopped bikes or pedestrians in his path, as evidenced by his inability to stop in the video.

It wasn’t a road. It’s a walking and biking path.
FFS
Only emergency vehicles are allowed on the path. The cop was there because of reports of motorcycles on the walking and biking path.
What’s wrong with some of you ?

his dash cam video shows a police officer deliberately angle his cruiser to block an ATV rider going fast down a road in New Haven, CT. The collision forced the ATV rider to slam into the cruiser. He is suffering serious injuries.
Before the incident, several bicyclists and pedestrians can be seen moving slowly in that lane.
Excessive use of force? Or did that cop save lives?
100% justified. cop just passed several kids who had crashed and were sitting/lying on the road right where the ATV was heading. this moron could have killed himself and them at the rate of speed he was going
<--- TEAM COP 100%

COP SAVED THEIR LIFE BY BLOCKING THAT MANIAC

obody can say if the 4 wheeler dude would have ever killed or injured any of the bikers. And therefore can't use the "what if" argument to justify the cop nearly killing that guy. And vehicles aren't even allowed on the path.

did you even watch the video? there were 2 or maybe 3 people down on the road right in the path of that moron who was going way way WAY too fast to avoid them.
Cop likely saved their life.

You sure about dat, Boudreaux? He couldn't even avoid da police man. What makes you think he could avoid a cyclist or pedestrian at that speed on an ATV with off-road tires?

He’s a cop so he’ll walk and face zero consequences.

Yeah let’s say he tried to go into the other lane to avoid the pedestrians, and one of them got scared by his extreme speed and jumped into the lane he was moving into and both were then blocked. People drive way too fast around pedestrian all the time allowing zero time to react to their unpredictable actions.

no, he was about 4 seconds away from plowing into those kids laying on the road. this is a bad take from you.

there was no time for anyting..he was maybe 2--3 seconds away from plowing into those kids on the road.
cop did the only thing he could to protect them.
I'll buy that cop a round of drinks if i ever meet him.

Have you ever watched cops trying to stop a motorcycle running at top speed. They do not throw up obstacles or try to bump stop them. For they know that would be certain death.
Same rules apply to illegal 4-wheeling

I don’t think motorcycles are generally doing this on a pedestrian/bicycle path like in this video. What’s the rule for blocking vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed on what amounts to a widened sidewalk?
