I was in Scotland (on Orkney and Islay) whilst you folks were dealing with that last year.

The highs there for me were ~70°F instead of LA’s 70°C.

I’m considering booking another Northern European trip for August now.

I spent almost half the summer in the Rocky Mountains of Utah and a lot of time in Europe/Eurasia.

I am all for heat domes if they keep hurricanes away. I rather run my AC than lose my house.

It would protect Louisiana coastline from hurricanes and tropical storms.

I was working MSY weather when we hit 105 F air temperature. Set the all time record for the airport

Got that right. Those high pressure heat domes were our shield last year.
