Privately met, at different times, Pete Rose (1976), David Bowie (1989), Paul Tagliabue (1996).

That's a pretty weird trifecta when I think about it...

spent a weekend traveling by camel through the Sahara desert with a tribe of nomadic berbers. Of all the random shite I've done, that's the one that raises eyebrows

Has everyone not done this? Buy extra large eggs and it's a fairly regular occurrence. Had two in the same dozen a few weeks ago.

Traveled a lot during 20 years of work in Middle East and far east, and first 15 years of retirement

recent experiences....Drove a class C rv over Attigun Pass on the Prudhoe bay haul road.. Drove a Harley on the 3 sisters road circuit at age 73....Billfishing Costa Rico last year at this time. Building hurricane replacement house {750 thousand $}, I could not find a general contractor so I did it myself.

older experiences...Arrested for taking pictures in Kuwait. Climbed into Egyptian coffin 200 feet below ground. Walked the shallamar [sp] gardens in Lahore . Gave a verbal English lesson to the 12 stewardess staff on a Pakistanni 747 flight from Karachi to Kuwait. Caught a lot of sailfish in the waters of Saudi. Gave the first press interview [100 pax] after a petrochemical explosion that evacuated 25,000 people. Rode the Japanese train system each day to work for a year. Visited Corridegador war memorial . Smuggled case of pinch scotch on deck of wife's mobility scooter crossing border from Thailand to Malaysia. Smuggled a whole dry cured ham into Saudi Arabia. Drank a bunch of scotch at 200am in Cario with Mubareks son,

I would do it all over again

ps. 20 years of phonetic spelling in English as second language work places, makes me more dependent on spell check

Have rescued and brought to the surface distressed, panicked, and/or out-of-air scuba divers from depths of 75 and 80 feet. (Do not wish to do it again)

Asked Peter Criss to drum on the top of my head ( Not my best moment)

Won a luxury car at the casino (Wholesaled it back to dealership)

Seen a Royal Flush in a home game ( Only lost $14 in that pot)

Buried my child (Changed everything about me)

Ran for public office (Lost...thank God)

Made a Hole in One ( Lucky....hit the pin and fell like a rock)

Been in actual combat. Not just “deployed to a combat zone” or been in the general area, but actual shite blowing up, guys shooting at us and us shooting back, calling air in for support, MEDEVACing guys off the battlefield combat.

I realize I’m not the only one to post on this board who has been in combat, but there aren’t that many of us, relatively speaking.

Spent a week crawling around and into the belly of an SR-71 to do a special inspection after getting a personal tour of the SR by one of the seven original engineers that designed the plane.

Did a three day photo safari in Kenya/Tanzania including an amazing wake up where I crawled out of the tent (pitched at night) to the sight of Mount Kilamanjaro in all it’s glory

Logged over 150 dives in the Red Sea

Won three straight State Championships in archery

1996 - Saints at Baltimore Ravens (1st year of the Ravens), noon game. Went with (and stayed with) a Metairie friend who was living in Washington DC. That night, just for grins and giggles, on a whim we picked up tickets on the street and saw the Redskins play the Jets at RFK (an ESPN Sunday Night Football game).

Bungee jumped from the Kawarau river bridge in New Zealand and dipped into the water. I’d never do that today, it was 22 years ago
