Buda is half an hour from downtown Austin. It can't be that bad.

One of the fastest growing counties in the nation for well over a decade and growth isn’t slowing down.
Downtown Main Street has been revitalized last few years. Lots of restaurants and bars now. Cool little place. I would recommend living in south Austin and commuting against traffic. Though housing is more affordable in buda

The cigar shop on Main Street has draft beer and let’s you smoke inside. Buda is gonna be a hip place to live in another 10 years.
If you have kids hays high school is better than Lehman in Kyle. They are building a new middle school in buda off 967
