Was there an age where you suddenly couldn’t sleep in anymore?

Work days, I can't get outta bed. Weekends, 4-5am (and not because I stayed up to see those hours).

There have been scientific studies done in Louisiana that show sleeping in is a factor of both age and hangover intensity.

I’d settle for 0530.
I’ve woken up at 0330 everyday this week.
I hope it will get better.

Ain't this the trust. Been struggling to wake up at 630/7am all week but this morning woke right up at 530am on my own

I’ve never been able to sleep a full night. Only got 3.5 last night after being up over 32 hours. Wife did manage to get me out the kitchen into bed. She’s already snoring and I’m talking about my insomnia issues with a bunch of strangers.

ETA, it was only 32 hours.

I noticed it after my mid 40s. It’s part of why I quit drinking. No sleeping off hangovers no enjoying extra sleep on the weekends any more.

When I had my first child I realized that apparently sleep ain’t all that important.

I noticed a big difference in sleep quality when I quit. I don't sleep necessarily a lot more but it is much better sleep.

I’ve been on nights most of the year now. But once wife wakes up around 10-10:30 on days she’s not working, I’m up. I do get a 30 min nap or so at lunch.

I sleep great now, but as a teenager it was constant insomnia. Luckily there were no cell phones back then I would have never slept.

Basically once we had kids. It used to bother me, but I function just fine. No matter when I go to bed or what I do I am going to wake up 445-5

I don’t know how you night shift guys do it.

I used to have a job where I’d have to work nights for 2-3 weeks every now and then. I was miserable the whole time. I kept thinking that after a week or so I’d get used to it. Nope. My stomach was always upset, I’d sleep on and off for 3-4 hours but never feel rested. And I was useless as far as activities like exercise.

Not for me man.

No it’s not for everyone that’s for damn sure. I have a lot of engineers that will volunteer to say they did it, but you can tell the ones that will roll back to days the moment they get the chance. Kids at home and whatnot, hell no. They don’t understand it, because it’s not natural.
