The Sd.Kfz. 124 Wespe (German for "wasp"), also known as Leichte Feldhaubitze 18/2 auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen II (Sf.) ("Light field howitzer 18 on Panzer II chassis (self-propelled)"), is a German self-propelled gun developed and used during the Second World War. It was based on a modified Panzer II chassis.

Your painting and weathering skills have grown immensely!

Thanks. The weathering here is the same technique I’ve been using for some time now. One thing I did do differently is use Silly Putty for masking for the camouflage. Basically I pained the whole exterior Dark Green then rolled up small pieces of Silly putty and placed it where you still see green before painting the exterior the standard Dark Yellow common to Wehrmacht vehicles from 1943 on.

“Izz dat a Wespe in your pocket or are you glad to see me?”
—Seriously, great work as always. This one is among your best

Very nice as usual. The barber pole aiming stakes on the back are a nice touch.
How do you feel about miniatures crewing your vehicles? I just finished a Tamiya Flakvierling half track and it's got five figures and it's probably my weakest skill.

You know what would have been a cool Wunderwaffe?
A giant artillery piece, like the rail mounted one, but mounted on a platform. Connected to three tanks, but with a swivel connected to the platform instead of a gun.
Basically a giant tank mounted artillery piece

I’d be proud of those five.

Thanks. It’s funny to me that our artillery units were still using aiming stakes exactly like this during my time.

Good work! I do add the crew sometimes. But it’s a pain in the arse so I usually skip them.

The Germans actually looked into doing something like this. Called it the Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte. Needless to say, it never got off the drawing board.

Too big of a pussy to come out and say what they find objectionable. Instead they leave their pathetic down vote and sulk away like the little pussy they are.
