It's just a big, dumb bird. Let's not make too much out of it.

I heart all birds to the point of nerd-dom...

No shame

I get so high I'm pretty sure the Blue Jays and Crows (corvidae) can hear my thoughts and when I greet them in my mind

Trippy

Here's a picture of an Albatross w/ his or her serious face on

Birds are the only living direct descendants of the dinosaurs.

Yep. Saw one at the Dallas Aquarium and he was doing that thing with his beak that sounds like a machine gun. It’s very very jarring and I would freak tf out if I heard that in the wild.

It does seem weird how people (not you) tend to kiss dinosaurs’ asses.
Like “oh they so cool” and stuff.

They were just big stupid lizards that couldn’t hack it.

#1) All Bird are living dinosaurs
#2) If you think it's like a dinosaur then you should see an alligator

The Shoebill was on one of the nature documentaries I like to watch one time. I think they always have two offspring, but one always grows stronger a little quicker than the other one and starts bullying the little one. It eventually gets strong enough to kill the other and does. So every shoebill that grows into an adult has killed, and eaten (usually), its sibling in the nest.
