The first Buc-ee's in Mississippi is being built off Interstate 10 in Pass Christian and will be about an hour's drive from New Orleans and two hours from Baton Rouge.

The opening date for Buc-ee's was originally planned for spring 2025, Beaver Aplin told the Sun Herald at the 2023 groundbreaking for the site.

But a spokesperson confirmed to the Sun Herald this week that the opening date has been pushed back to summer 2025.

I have actually never been to a buccee’s and at this point i actually appreciate it.

Not even sure what i would gain by even going to one because other than some sandwich and beaver nugs, i have yet to figure out what the value is

That will be the strip club or “adult book store” that opens up in southwest Louisiana on I-10 when they build one there to take some of the business from the Lion’s Den. Their mascot printed on shirts will be a nutria rat.

The value is that most gas stations in this three state area are discounting shitholes staffed by nimrods.
The clean restrooms and friendly efficient staff is what makes them great.

It’s the best place to stop and take a shite, if nothing else. Their beef jerkey selection is legit. Brisket sandwiches are awesome.

If a Walmart and a truck stop had a baby it would be bucees.

Since I don’t really like either I’m good without supersizing my fuel and bathroom stop.

What makes Bucees so popular is that it's nothing like either one of those.

You've obviously never been to one.

We appreciate you for it. When they build one in Louisiana expect the end of the world.

Might not be a big deal for you, but for us that scheduled vacations and time off from work, then yes, it is a big deal.
