What gift(s) did you get your child/childrens teacher(s)

We gave ours a $75 amazon gift card and candle. Teacher is always asking us for snacks and/or items from her wish list.

Almost time for their two-month vacation followed by them complaining in August about having to get the classroom ready a whole week before school starts and how hard of a job it is.

My children go to private school. Is their salary not enough?
Oh well, gift card for food I suppose.

believe it or not most teachers really like classroom supplies as gifts as well, because just half way through the year those things walk off and disappear. then they have to pay with their own money to replace the shared supplies.

if a simple <$50 yearly gift bought your child special attention or help, wouldn’t it be worth it. that’s why we do it.

She must be at least a OT 6.5 to warrant this

$25 Starbucks gift card and a Stanley. We've probably donated snacks and special materials for projects 5-6 times this year, so it's enough in my mind.

Thought this was going to be a summary of all the twenty something female teachers appreciating their underage students.

A few years ago, when my wife was between jobs and we were a little poor, I made ranch crackers because they were cheap and easy. The teachers raved about them for weeks after, and there are several that look forward to getting them every year now.

I always buy the classroom books at the Book Fair, supplies when they need it, we usually chip in for teacher breakfasts and lunches, and spend many a miscellaneous volunteer hour over the course of the school year, so I don’t feel bad or cheap about it.

They get appreciated.
They get a salary, crazy good benefits, job security, and 3 months vacation.

Nothing, they are paid. Not every job needs some appreciation week, where people are guilted into giving them gifts. They signed up to do the job, do your job.
