I have an uncle that's retired Army and a West Point grad. He had TK (Talent Keyhole) clearance. He got to see things that came from satellites, which was a big deal at the time. Now anyone can view the same stuff at home.

I worked a year in California in O&G and have a couple of friends who also did. Pay scales were generally the same or less than if we would have been working in the GOM. You are paid according to the work you are doing which is easier than a typical offshore job in the GOM.
