It's fricking starting already. My dad is in town and brought his new girlfriend. Them and other family are staying at our house for the holidays. Lo and behold his girlfriend is a super liberal and started going off on Trump out of nowhere.

This shite is so stupid... I just wanna tell her begone thot.

It may come as a shock, but most people are not qualified or capable of having a rational political discussion

Tell your Dad to tell her that politics is not a good subject during the holidays.

I mean, it's family and we have the room. It's kinda nice to have them in town. Just didn't bank on the new gf on being a lunatic. My wife didn't like the idea of him bringing his new gf in the first place, I suppose she was right.

I see your father married her either for her sexual prowess or her looks, not her smarts.

Isn’t this how we all choose our spouses?

Turn on Fox News and run it the entire weekend.

Maybe even pull up some Trump rally videos

Just imagine the level of instability she lives with and how hard her life must be. Try to have some pity.

I find abruptly changing the subject is the most effective way to make a statement, without getting involved, about keeping politics the frick out of christmas conversation.

In my entire life I've never been to a thanksgiving or Christmas and heard political or religious talk. Most people used to have a bit of restraint about that silliness. Today people forget real life isn't twitter.

Being anti trump is a form of virtue signaling for females. It's like some feminine password.

Made a sign and put in my yard at thanksgiving.

POLITICS FREE ZONE

Violators may be asked to leave. I did it in a playful way but if it came up I had a basis for laying it down.

It worked nicely.

That's a damn good idea. You could even take that idea to a t-shirt and probably make some $$$.

I talk politics with very few folks and those are the few who don't get emotional about it. Yeah, like two people, now that I think about it.

She probably just needs a peach mint. Offer her a peach mint.
