My daughter did a semester at Oxford and loved it. Congratulations. I hope you can make plans to visit her while she is over there.

I hear Oxford has one of the best college football clubs in England. They won the championship last year in a grueling match 1-0 over Cambridge. I also hear the tailgating scene is top notch and compares to SEC football.

Their concept of distance is crazy though. The idea of driving a couple of hours is something people in the US don't think about.

True. I work with some folks from Europe. When I told them I was driving from Atlanta to New Mexico,, they had no concept of how far it was. When I told them how far it was in kilometers, they couldn't grasp the idea of a trip that long, especially one where you never had to go through a checkpoint or have a passport.

My bet is no AC...
Beautiful building and architecture.

Tell her that venturing outside of the city is a masterclass in Muslim graffiti and evolving Sharia law...stay around Oxford and stay safe.

Dang Nostradamus you nailed it.

I have a BS in Finances , make 100k+ a year with little effort while working from home in shorts, 4 weeks paid PTO and get off at 2:30 pm daily.

It just kind of blew my mind that there is a college at a university that predates the discovery of North America.

Europe is old af fr fr.

Worked with a guy who graduated from King's College Cambridge. His mother badly wanted him to become a priest and instead he married a German girl. For almost thirty years his mom refused to speak to her. Only a couple of years before the mom died, did she break down and acknowledge his wife.

I have no idea what his has to do with your niece. Most likely nothing. Congratulations to her. The universities in GB are first rate, and yes they are very old and steeped in tradition.

Too bad she won’t learn anything other than Obongo was the greatest president to ever govern and the US is inhumane for lack of universal health care.
