Monday morning at MSY - JBE has a GoodFellas moment

Just stood in line behind our esteemed past Governor John Bel and his wife in the TSA PreCheck line. After a decent wait, they make it to the TSA lady who takes one look at their tickets and says "you aren't PreCheck" and points to the enormously long regular security line. They both stood there for about ten seconds and then did the walk of shame past us to go stand with the tourists. It made my morning.

One thing I’ll give TSA is they are equal opportunity haters.

It is. I legit wish it wasn't 01 April and I am not the guy who comes on here with fantastical made up stories. Never understood people who do that.
He was wearing dark blue pants and a dark blue plaid sport coat with brown leather dress shoes with the white sport bottoms. His wife was wearing an off white pants suit outfit. She had a rolling carry on and he had a garment bag on a shoulder strap and a soft leather briefcase.*
If I made up those details there is something seriously wrong with me.
*I had some surveillance / counter surveillance training in my former life for overseas business travel. I notice shite like that. I am not a fashion person or something. We were told to notice dress, what people carry, stuff like that.

Things went through my mind but I couldn't do it. Especially not in front of his wife. I believe people, especially politicians, should display a better level of behavior. I yearn for the days when honor was real and public disrespect or rude behavior earned one a beating or worse.

Would it have worked anyway? Now that he's not the Governor, he's just a normal everyday citizen.
But I bet you he told his wife that it doesn't matter they don't have precheck because he used to be Governor, they will be fine.
