Mayor Cantrell loves to travel

The mayor, who has a little under two years left in her second term, is currently on her fourth trip since April 24, a span in which Cantrell has been out of town for at least 13 out of 20 days. That includes a five-day trip to Nantucket, Massachusetts from April 30 to May 4 that wasn’t announced publicly, breaking typical protocol.
Would love to know who paid for Nantucket trip? It's not cheap to stay on Nantucket.

Her flaunting this travel thing is a disgrace. I guess the council figures that it’s better for her to neglect her job duties than to actually make decisions that impact the city. I’ll never understand how she survived the recall.

So long as they get handouts, the majority of the voting base in that city doesn't care. Too many think thieves only steal from the taxpayers so you can't be stolen from if you don't contribute but fail to realize that these thieves are stealing their potential and future. There is not nearly enough desire to change that city for me to see anything significant in my lifetime.

The Qatar Economic Forum, which is hosted by Bloomberg, runs from Tuesday through Thursday. City Hall declined to provide information on when Cantrell will return to New Orleans, but Monday would mark at least the 103rd day that the mayor has been away from New Orleans or traveling for more than half the day during the 17-month period from January, 2023 until this month.
That's the equivalent of about one out of every five days."
If New Orleans is paying for these trips, surely someone would ask how that benefits the city.

the good people of New Orleans need to come to grips with the fact Teedy has checked out on being an actual Mayor. City Council is as useless as it gets. NoLA is a ghost ship right now.
