A California man who was told by city officials he needed to put a fence up to hide his boat from public view did just that – with a twist
quote:

The city required him to build a 6-foot coverage screen in front of his boat. After discussing the plan with his neighbor, Constable decided to build the fence – with a lifelike painting of the boat on it.
quote:

So far, the city has not responded to the fence mural.

WAFB

Pretty good mural actually.

I like his style but I don’t understand his effort.

Not everyone wants to look at the things you want to see.

For instance, I can look at engines all day long and wish all sports cars came with clear hoods. But not everyone feels that way.

If my HOA told me they didnt want my boat viewable from the driveway that I own, I’d want to pull some petty shite like this as well.

The point I think being made is, is it really that painful to see a boat?

Seems pretty simple. His message is "frick you."

Damn that’s actually pretty solid painting.

Also this is a prime example of the old saying “‘Why?’ frick you, that’s why.”

Pretty good? I think your standards for neighborhood picket murals might be a bit high.

got a letter from my HOA a few weeks ago about weeds in front of my house, they always include a picture, I took a little pleasure in taking a pic of my own, a little better picture than the one they’d taken, and pointing out that that was a picture of the state flower

There was one guy who got back at the HOA by painting his house a pastel color (which wasn't against the bylaws). This wasn't southeast Louisiana or South Mississippi so it didn't fit the neighborhood.
