I think I’d rather live in Lafayette than just about half of the big Texas suburbs

I’d rather put a pistol to my temple and squeeze than have to drive through Dallas or Fort Worth every day and I live in Baton Rouge

Less traffic!

I’m happy in BR. Sure, we have problems, but all cities do. The city has been good for me and my family. To each their own. Just don’t bitch and then come back to LSU games.

No idea why any of my family or friends live in BR. It’s a dump.

I interviewed for a back office job at Goldman Sachs in SLC. That would have been interesting

I worked middle office for GS in SLC. I've since moved away, but I'd have SLC at the very top of the list of places I'm moving if life affords me the flexibility.

I would never leave Louisiana for somewhere like Houston, but I'd definitely leave for somewhere with 4 seasons, and an interesting topography.

Meh. I'm from New Orleans metro and have enjoyed Houston more. It's hardly some incredible faraway place, but I find it offers more. I'd leave Houston in a heartbeat for a laundry list of other places, but nowhere back in LA is on that list.

I was just in Dallas… deep ellum felt more like New Orleans than New Orleans

First thing I saw was a youth getting arrested for carrying a Glock with a switch. Like Ive said a million times now, if I leave Nola I’m not going to a slightly dressed up nola with a few more cops and jobs.

Two more years in the classroom and I'll take early retirement and get out as well.

We left a year ago and it has been divine. My other half has the roots in LA and she is even more excited to have moved than I am. She loves the rolling hills, orchards, horse farms, and wineries where we are now.

It’s tough to leave friends and family behind, but it’s ultimately a good decision. LA refuses to address its problems.

I’ve lived all over the country. Louisiana is better than some and worst than some. Prefer the west and northeast but prefer Louisiana to arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama. Wouldn’t mind Atlanta or Nashville but besides those prefer Louisiana to Tenn and Georgia.

Does every one know what SLC means? why can't you just spell it the first time and then abbreviate it afterwards. It makes it easy on the rest of us. Thanks.
