Kenner cop ambush

It hasn’t been posted yet in the news. Buddies a cop and got a text. Multiple kenner police were ambushed on a call. One in surgery. One grazed. Not sure about the others. Suspect is locked up in a house

Lost a good friend in this exact same scenario in 2020, shite still makes me sick to this day. We weren't even allowed to attend his funeral because of covid, all we got to do was stand on the highway while his body went by in a hearse

The guy in the stand off - involved in two other shootings.
ETA: Not sure why the downvotes, this is Matthew Lathers, who shot the three cops. Matthew Lathers was already wanted for attempted second-degree murder and armed robbery after Kenner police say he shot a man during a holdup on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.. He also shot two other people.

Everything about that is infuriating. Undocumented immigrant murderer. The murderer was a coward and killed himself. And then stupid covid rules won't even allow a fricking funeral. RIP Officer.
