I have to say it was a pleasant experience. The plane was an Airbus A-320 and seemed really new. None of the seat backs were scratched up or anything. Everything worked fine and looked clean and new. It was great. Now, they will nickel and dime you on all of the little extras and baggage bigger than a small backpack will cost more but for a weekend trip a backpack was all I needed. I had no problem with it. I would do it again.
I know it is not the OT way to post positive experiences so I will just head over to Sonic and wait for the beatdown.

Edit to add, this was out of New Orleans.

I’ve had similar experiences with Spirit. It’s great until Spirit decides to be Spirit.

Why would you ever do something like that to yourself?

The problem with spirit is their reliability. If your flight gets cancelled/delayed your options are extremely limited

If you are flying direct early in the morning Spirit isn't too bad and is usually on time. Have done NOLA-FLL a few times for cheap af. Would never fly spirit with a connection somewhere though.

I like Spirit. I like the all ala carte thing they have set up. Not paying for shite in my ticket price that I don’t use.

I’ve flown Spirit for cheap weekend direct flights to Vegas. Never had a problem.

You can complain about the clientele, but I travel for work quite a bit on United and Southwest and the clientele seems to gone downhill regardless so that’s a wash.

Yeah its fine for a quick weekend trip. Im going to purchase beverages regardless of the airline so I just want to get to where I need to go.

For Nola area people that want to take an easy fast flight to Costa Rica-MSY to SJO via Fort Lauderdale for the win. Early flight, early noon arrival, through customs before the crowds arrive and on to your hotel in Los Suenos or Jaco or La Fortuna or Manuel Antonio by early evening.

I flew from Vegas to the liberal shite hole aka Los Angeles. The flight was fine. I had one carryon and everything went smooth. Of course, we knew what we were getting into and prepared accordingly.
