Hypothetical

This is just a hypothetical. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Imagine there were no Latinos in Texas in 1960.

Imagine between 1960 and 1980, Latinos crossed the southern border in such numbers that the 1980 population of Texas was about 40% Latino and about 40% non-Latino white.

Imagine that some Latinos formed terrorist groups that committed atrocities, including but not limited to: (1) assassinating the governor of Texas, (2) setting fire to a major oil refinery which burned for weeks, (3) attacking a prison and freeing a large number of inmates, and (4) frequently killing groups of US soldiers sent in to maintain the peace,

Imagine, if you can, the problems were so intractable and the violence was so prevalent and horrific, that the federal government voted in 1982 on detachment for Texas. Texas was no longer a US state, and it was divided into two separate countries: a Latino-controlled half (Hispania) and a non-Latino-controlled half (Texas).

Imagine, if you can, that for the next twenty years, portions of the white population tried but failed to take back portions of their land. These attempts nearly always resulted in the Latino government annexing and resettling that land as well as other white-controlled land until nearly all of Texas became part of Hispania. Many Texans' homes and businesses were taken by the Hispania government. Most of the whites fled Hispania to surrounding states; they call themselves Texans.

Are you willing to support Texans?

200 years before that, there wasn't a border. American Indians could cross the border freely. I guess some got trapped when the border was created, and instantly became Mexicans.

If people from south of the border caused the federal government to kick Texas of out of the US; it formed its own country; and whites in the former Texas rebelled but were forced out; would you support those Texans?

He’s trying to create a “gotcha” thread with some false equivalence scenario to what’s going on in Israel / Palestine.

Personally, I don’t give a fiddler’s frick what 2 groups of sand people do in some far off desert shithole, particularly since they’ve been doing in for 2000+ years. Leave me out of it.

not in Brownsville - which I know is not all of RGV

When we lived in Brownsville, the city was almost 98% Hispanic

Ironically I think it’s less now

I'd support the Latinos to use their nukes against another state that was funding the whites.

How you feel about that in your scenario?

Can’t tell if you think your Palestine analogy is clever.

Yeah, my dad is from Alice - it might’ve been 60/40 in the 1960s

Sounds like what happened in Israel. There was a small group of Jews there before the occupation started but they lived in harmony with the Christians and Muslims

So you support ending foreign aid to Israel? (And the other countries we give aid to)
