NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) - A Florida teenager’s prom dreams were ruined when she was turned away from the dance because she was wearing a suit.

Holly Savidge says her daughter, Sophie Savidge, was dressed up and ready to go into Mason Classical Academy’s prom.

“She was excited. We took a couple pictures,” her mother said.

But Holly Savidge says a school administrator pulled her daughter aside “because she was in a suit and not a dress because she is female and not male.” The school has strict guidelines for formal attire. For female students, only an evening gown, cocktail dress or one-piece attire are allowed.

Sophie Savidge was told she could return to the dance if she changed clothes, but she decided not to do that.

Full Story

The rules were known beforehand. She was given an option during. And now playing the victim card comes out.

As easy as getting a Christian baker to make a penis cake for a LBGTQRS- wedding.

The rules of the game were well established. Even after attending since 2nd grade, they knowingly broke them realizing 100% what the response would be.

They wanted to be SJWs and get in the news. Congrats.

Nothing has or will change at the school as it is based in religious code/beliefs. That institution is private and reserves the right to operate as they see fit.

Don’t like it? Leave. End of story.

To be fair. That big assed head with that twig neck? You want to see that in a cocktail dress?

How’s she hold that bastard up?

Look, a tranny male with a 10” neck…..

When a 141/2 neck is took big, maybe you should think twice about your clothing decisions.

I’m sure she is getting all of the attention and validation she wants. This shite is so predictable.

I mean, rules are rules. But I remember girls going to prom and homecoming in suits and ties in the 90s. Is this really a battle that needs to be fought? Sounds stupid on both sides. Let the kids be a bit rebellious and edgy. The best thing you can do is just show them you don't care.

If she showed up in something ridiculous- sure- but to pick the fight over a suit seems like the school leaders were just as actively looking for attention and affirmation in their own circles

Let the kid have a good night in an outfit that doesn’t stick out
