You can go to Graceland on any random day and odds are you’ll see women standing at the grave of Elvis Presley, who’s been dead going on 50 years, women who never met him, many of them born after he died. And they’ll have tears in their eyes.

When you die, you’ll be forgotten. Within a short time no one will even visit your grave other than maybe once a year to put a cheap bouquet of fake flowers on your tombstone, and that’s if you’re lucky. And even that will most likely cease within a generation.

It is amazing that all these years after his death, he is still so revered by many.

He certainly had a once in a lifetime voice.

I remember the day it happened. My mom went to fricking pieces and stayed that way for over a week.

I was too young to understand it

He has been great for the World Wrasslin' Entertainment business. Ran a close second to the late, great Bobby Heenan, with his funny quips.

R.I.P. Elvis.

Him and Priscilla were such a Power Couple.

“They met in 1959 when Priscilla was 14 and Elvis was 24. Their love would inspire millions.”

And a knack for knowing which songs he could turn to gold. Graceland is a very worthwhile stop and the number of gold records on the walls is impressive.

Plus, from people that actually knew him, I've heard very good things about what a kind person he was.

Happy Birthday, Big E.

Holy cow. Imagine being a grown man and knighting so hard for an overweight alcoholic pedo who was good at singing.

I’ve been to Graceland once and didn’t see any women crying, but I did see 3-4 grown arse baws crying at the grave.
