Daughter (middle school, you sick fricks) wants one for school this year, but I’m about fricking sick of buying a new backpack every year. I don’t love North Face (O & G baw), but whatever she wants, right? I just want to know if it will get her to high school in 2 years.

Holding up isn’t the problem. They gonna want a new color.

North Face is fine for anything very far from an actual north face

They used to. Not sure about the newer ones.

I still have/use mine that I bought in 2004.

I've had the same one from 2010 used regularly for school / work and it's holding up great.

I've had the same one for almost 20 years. It's now my gym bag.

I suggest have her use a WalMart bag (tripled). Then a few days later buy her a cheap backpack and she’ll be glad to have it.

I think they have a lifetime guarantee like their clothing. My wife has gotten 2 new rain jackets from them over the last 10 years when hers started coming apart so they honor their guarantee.

Their technical gear is still really good. Their technical packs are well build even if I don't like their layout. They also have a lifetime warranty which may so all the way down to book bags, I don't know. Their 8000 meter suit (they call it a Himalayan suit) is still really well made but at $2k I suppose it should be.
