Been up for an hour after blaring tornado warning in cenla. We all gathered in the hall. Luckily just rain and some wind/thunder/lightning. No power loss but can’t go back to sleep now

Just drove from Beaumont to NW Calcasieu. Holy shite that was an adventure. Never got above 45. Heavy Heavy sideways rain, wind pushing me all over the road and lightning popping constantly.

One dude in a little shite box car passed me and started hydroplaning. He got control and didn’t wreck but immediately pulled over to the shoulder, I’m assuming to clean the shite out of his shoes.

I didn't get up in time to walk the dogs before the weather arrived.

They're getting antsy

April 27, 2011 really stands out on that map. It goes without saying, but Alabama got crushed that day.

Would you rather people refer to their location by naming a totally different city?

The Elkhorn, NE tornado gets a preliminary rating of EF3 with 165mph winds. It was a mile wide at its widest. This was the tornado that too many people were convinced was an EF5 due to a handful of pictures that was shoddy proof at best.

The Minden, NE tornado was rated an EF3 with winds of 160mph and was just under a mile wide at its widest. Three injuries and one fatality have been attributed to this tornado.

And in keeping the trend going, many people are acting like complete asses towards the damage surveyors and the NWS Omaha office because they didn't rate either of these tornadoes as a violent tornado.

Interesting that what tipped the scales in favor of bumping it to an EF4 was this:

This was based on damage at the Dollar Tree Warehouse and the Homeland store in Marietta.
