Can the OT Legal Minds help me make sense of my court appearance today?

I had my court appearance today, and all that happened was that the DA asked the judge for 60 more days to review my case and that was it. I am set to go back on July 20.
This is after the DA asked for 30 extra days to review after my first appearance before a judge last month.
Is the 60 more days to review a good or bad development? Does it mean they have a weak case against me? Or is it because they have a case they are building to strengthen?
I don't want to have to pay a lawyer unless I have to. I am hoping that the judge dismisses my charges, or dismisses them if I pay restitution to the "victim" to keep this off my record.
(For those of you wondering what charges I am facing - the single charge against me is a very low level misdemeanor - intentional damage to a vehicle - an allegation which I think is flimsy).

There’s really only one logical question left: syrup or jelly?

Nobody's doing their job, so they're just kicking the can down the road. The judge and DA get paid the same whether they hear your case or not.

You don't need an atty for you to talk to the D.A. directly. Probably an Assistant D.A. They are always looking to avoid a trial so call & ask for an appointment "to talk about your case". A plea down may be in your best interest to avoid legal fees, for your own atty and court costs if you were to lose in court. Did you have any insurance to cover the physical damage?

The DA asked for an extra month to review your misdemeanor charge?

Start working out, and take some boxing classes

They are probably going to make you a deal.
If it is a strong case then they wouldn't necessarily need to get it extended.
Just make sure that you show up at any extra hearings and if this happens again tell the judge how many times you have been there and are prepared to defend yourself right now.

Ever noticed how victim is never in quotes in the law?
Because the court decides...not you buddy.
Get a competent lawyer or accept that you will take whatever you get. There's lots of judges who feel like it's disrespectful to take the courts time with out awareness of what is legally required.
My sense is you have other issues that will negatively impact you and you are not saying it. You'd have been to the DA already.

Not paying a lawyer got you that 60-day delay. You should have expressed your dismay to the judge that the DA has now tried to delay things twice. An attorney wouldn't have let the DA get away with that.

Good thing about paying a lawyer, is they probably have drinks with the DA and if your shite isn't too bad, can probably just have the DA dismiss it.

Not legal advice, but he's probably trying to annoy you into getting an attorney. Here, it's very rare for misdemeanors to be tried before the 3rd or 4th trial date. I have no idea if their system is anything like our system.

If this is true, I may look into this. Thank you.
I just want to know what case the state has against me. No doubt the incident is on video as it happened on the strip, but the question is, did I actually do any damage? Even I don't know the answer to that. Maybe, maybe not, it all happened so fast.
Also, the cops used my own words as justification to sending me to jail. I was the one who called them, and when I realized I was going to jail, I asked the cops why, and they said "you admitted to hitting the truck". Why didn't they mirandize me if my own words would have been what sent me to the slammer to begin with? If I thought there was a chance of that happening I would have said nothing.

Yeah, they have bigger fish to fry and they have not done any work on your case. They were not prepared to deal with it today and kicked the can for a bit. I might would try to plea out or hire a lawyer that can fight them if they try to ask for another 30/60 days again.
