The casual reader can discern from your statement that you’ve been on both sides of the procedure.

Does your woman makes you turn the lights out during sexy time? I know the "technicals" because I'm usually looking in her eyes while she's doing it.

soooo funny you say this. I started on Lexapro and like 3 days later i went for a looooooong time. the next night even longer. It was great the first few times but like you said, it loses it's luster after a while. No more quickies while the kids are in the playroom. It's just something we've accepted. lol. could be worse.

No. It's a common side effect. I had to switch because the everlasting sex session is pretty fricking annoying

Question for people who take these meds. Do you still drink? Does it have a negative effect on drinking?

I’ve experienced both not staying erect and staying erect but not climaxing. Doctor told me both can happen. It’s a side effect that can occur and you either live with it or stop taking the medication.

Tried that but i enjoy spending time with my family more than being a ball of rage, anger and pure unadulterated hate.

I had the same issues for which I took Lexapro for a long time. It helped for sure but eventually I noticed that I became complacent about a lot of things. I decided to get off and spend a couple of months in targeted therapy to try to figure out the source of my anger. Turns out in my case it was misbehaving children, so wife and I agreed to adopt a stricter parenting style and it has done wonders for them and I am antidepressant free. I suggest that if you start to notice this in yourself that you do the same: it's entirely possible that the source of your own anger has moved on or changed and you just won't have the same rage you used to. Good luck.

I'm not judging anyone personally, so please don't take my question that way but is there anyone in the OT not on some anti-depressant? The # of responses in this thread are shocking and I'm an Iraqi combat vet (Ramadi 2005 2nd MARDIV).

It did for me. I could have a couple of beers and it was all I could do to keep my eyes open. Now that I am off of Lexapro my drinking is back to normal. And I never had any sexuall issues while on Lexapro.

Yes I last a super long time on Zoloft

I take a daily Cialis so I can get hard and last long so it’s been a good thing for me

Any antidepressant can do that, not just Zoloft.

Just stop trying to think about baseball while fricking her and see if it fixes things.

I knew what this thread was about right away.

I took Zoloft for a week one time in 2010. On day 6 or 7, I was beatin off when suddently I completely lost the 'mood'. It was palpable and freaked me out.

Never touched it again.

It’s used for anxiety as well as depression. If you get panic attacks, you can get on it to help your anxiety.

Seems like it’s prescribed like Tylenol. The question you have to figure out is can you figure out and work on the issue that is causing the depression/anxiety or is it a big enough every day issue that would require medicine to solve.

Very common side effect of SSRIs. Try a different antidepressant or anti anxiety med.
