got notice from dealer that my premium (in Incognito color) has arrived stateside and should get to Houston in about a month.

I'm excited for it, and obviously disagree with the posters who think it looks weird. I like the exterior of the Overtrail better (the black roof doesn't come on the other models) but wanted the nicer interior.

Currently drive the LX570 and while its reliable and gives me zero problems, (in spite of the delivery driver stealing it for three months and eventually smashing it between the two levels of his hydraulic trailer prior to delivery) The thing has the giddyup of an Army Tank and gets about 9 miles to the gallon. It will definitely be a step up for me.

Check out these threads from the Tundra forums, A LOT of engine failures . Same engine, probably different tune.

They clearly have some machining issues with that motor. Are they all made in the same factory? It might be isolated to the ones from a single factory.

No manufacturer is perfect, but I would have expected Toyota to figure this out after nearly 4 years of production. The amount of failures seem to be incredibly high considering they sell about 1/6th of the trucks that GM sells and about 1/5 of the trucks that Ford sells.

The Tundra is made in the US, and supposedly it was a wastegate issue (they’ve since changed suppliers). The GX is made at the Tahara plant in Japan, considered one of the best auto plants in the world.

Most dealers are sticking to MSRP (plus some bs dealer add-ons).

I think it looks best in any color other than black.

Overtrail has best tires but no 3rd row.

Compared to what? My wife likes the TX and I like the GX, but haven’t sat in or test driven a TX and haven’t even seen a GX in person.

I bought a TX, it's the most practical vehicle I've ever owned (I have 3 young kids).

The TX doesn't have any wood trim, which has been a staple of Lexus vehicles. This is the main complaint you'll hear about the cabin.

I specifically bought mine with the light interior as it added some character to the inside to make up for the lack of any exotic trim, stitching, etc.

I'm very satisfied with my TX.

Why is this guy asking almost $109K when you can buy what looks like the same care from the dealer for $80K?

Really wanted one of these. But wouldn’t have worked for me with 2 rear facing car seats.

Bring tall isn’t always for the best.

Shame this engine in the Tundra is having so many problems. In a couple years the bugs should be worked out.

Doubt it. I know people at Toyota USA and these large vehicles are a super low priority for them or no priority at all. They just exist because they aren’t hurting the company too much and may attract a broader customer base.

This is what no one is realizing. the OP is misleading. the GX is not a $109K vehicle.

That was my first impression. The shape of the doors/windows also looks like an old Xterra.

Looks like a Range Rover engineer and a retard with finger paints designed this monstrosity. Had potential then got weird lines and typical Lexota protrusions and lights.

You’re completely insane & I question your taste. They knocked this design out of the park. That’s why it’s sold out for over a year.

Not misleading anyone, first I viewed in person.... there is a 1-2yr wait list for the GX at most dealerships.

If your wife wants one today, you'll have to pay markup.
Historically, most of the GX model sold is the Luxury which starts at $82k before options.

Bought a TX for my wife and it's been great. I didn't realize how much room it has until we took on the road during spring break.
