If we had a 3rd I'd be all about Corley there

I think there's an exceptionally high chance he's a bust though because guys who play receiver who could not play receiver in college pretty much never work out

I think that if we have the opportunity, JPJ is the pick. I am a believer in bigger centers being able to play anywhere inside, and they almost always learn the system quickly. Also he's the natural heir to McCoy in a couple years. Centers rarely bust.

Dejean is the clear cut #1 if he's there, but that's unlikely. He's exactly what we need at NB and can possibly move to FS down the road once we sort out our strange DB room.

Get another OL if you can do so without reaching.

I think a good WR will fall to the late 2nd or 3rd and we can trade up to get who is left. There’s a lot of quality WRs.

MalachiCorley
Ladd McConkey
Roman Wilson
Ja’Lynn Polk
Jermaine Burton
Malik Washington
Devontez Walker
Johnny Wilson
Luke MacCaffery
Cornelius Johnson
Jordan Whittington
Jalen McMillan
Jacob Cowing

Don’t know why, but I really like Cornelius Johnson as the MT13 replacement. Tall, fast guy who can make the tough catches.
And he will likely fall to the 3rd.

A lot of those wide receivers will be available really late.

I’m all for taking Blake Fisher to solidify our LT spot.

This is a strong possibility. An injury moved him off LT to RT. He may be a diamond waiting to get polished.

Taking a guy whose best position is Center when your OL stinks except for:

Your Center

and

A guy whose best position is Center but is playing Guard

Would be really hilarious

McCoy is 26 and you looking at his heir down the road? And Ruiz is a better center than guard and yiu want to draft another center? With the numerous holes littered around this team ? Jeez. Are you Loomis? I really want Cooper, DD is old, Gay on a one year deal, Werner’s play fell off a cliff last year.

Trading up for DeJean woukd also be good.

I'm assuming Dejean won't be there to pick

Don't pick off ball LBs in the 2nd round, just like RBs.

Our pick in the 2nd needs to be a DL, OL, NB, or range safety

Brian Kelly did an interview two days ago on ESPN radio. He was asked about what other players besides Daniels and Nabors was he excited to see get drafted. He talked about Thomas and one of the DTs, but then said something like, I know everyone is talking about Alt, but Blake Fisher is going to be a really good tackle for some team and has all the tools you want in a prototypical offensive lineman.

I hope the Saints pick up the phone and speak to Kelly. I hope other teams overlook the potential.

Saints should come away with a starter at 45. Lots of talent left

We need to build for the future.
We are a long ways off from being a Super Bowl contender.

I’d take the best player available, preferably a defensive or offensive lineman. Someone with longevity.

My theory is no matter who the Saints pick, within seconds there will be loads of ST draft experts shitting all over the pick. That being said I like the BYU OL. I know we need a lot and it's pretty hard to prioritize what's most important now because we do need so much. I mean DE, WR, Safety, TE, RB are all other areas we need to address. It's gonna be hard to do all that with quality in the draft. But 2 mean, nasty road grading OL is a great start working toward the future.
