Should we trade Alvin Kamara?

Considering what Carolina just received for CMC, yes we should. Kamara is one year older but doesn’t have the injury history CMC does. AK also doesn’t have the mileage CMC does. As much as it pains me to even post this because AK is my favorite player, we aren’t even using him enough or properly.

If someone offers us (and they won’t), a 2nd rounder you do it.

He’s not worth as much. Likely gets you a 3rd and 4th if your lucky and with suspension looming likely less than that.

I'm not for it.. But I look around on other teams message boards and they always gush over Kamara..And they have decent to very good running backs on their team...

Too much of a dead cap hit this year and next.

Kamara and Thomas are not being traded

I need more than a 3rd to take on that cap hit.

If there are wills then there are always ways. And us eating more dead cap makes the trade that much more valuable for the other team.

Yea most RBs drop off a cliff after 28. Better to we get something for him now. Saints have too many high price players not living up to their contracts & that why our depth is crap. Time to trim the fat. Our window has closed with this current roster. Hopefully they learn not to waste big contracts on RBs & WRs in the future. You build great teams in the trenches.

If CMC was worth those picks, AK is worth as much if not more due to being healthy almost his entire career so far. Saints need to blow this shite up as much as they can. Being in purgatory with these f'd up contracts doesn't help.

Too much of a dead cap hit. Most of our top guys can’t be traded without serious consequences. It’s just the way they’ve done business.

Absolutely trade him. He’s a great player when healthy and a great asset. But this team needs help at too many positions. Plus, he’s got some legal issues to navigate. Get what you can while he’s still considered one of the best all purpose players.

Saints should part ways with Thomas too. He’s been nothing but a distraction and a non factor since he signed his last contract. He’s the saints’ version of Anthony Davis when he was with the pels. Street clothes Thomas.

If this season continues on this current trend of 2-5, then, the whole coaching staff and team need to be blown up for a re-build, so, yes.

Let the new HC assemble his or her own staff. Her? Hey, were talking about the Saints here. Which franchise is most likely to hire the NFL's first female HC? IMHO, the Saints.

PS It will probably be J.D. Roberts's granddaughter.

Absolutely. The Saints need to trade every play they can and get draft choices, so they can start a rebuild. They should cut Mike Thomas and take the cap hit. No team will trade anything of value for Thomas since he doesn’t seem to have any desire to play football. The time for clinging to players for past performance is over. There is no difference between can’t or won’t deliver results.

His trade value would not impact us as much as we need and him being gone would make this team absolutely suck donkey balls.

How is he not worth as much as an injury-prone CMC who has a LOT more mileage on his body, going back to Stanford?
