NFC South very often seems like a total disaster to the point I consider if it’s the worst division in all NA sports.

And yet, all 4 franchises have been to the Super Bowl in the past 15 years.

What a conundrum

He’s actually a great leader unlike the jackass that runs the saints program. He had a decent roster but was a defensive coach forced to get wins with Freeman at QB and still managed to go 10-6 his second year. Greg Olson was his OC and not in the league anymore.

Players love him, coaches love him. Y’all are either ignorant or lazy to think that is a bad hire.

Morris will be fired in 3 years. He is the definition of a retread. He is a less successful Dennis Allen.

He has a higher winning percentage than Allen I can presume you do know how percentages work?

Gruden will never coach in the NFL again.

The Falcons seem to love hiring these guys that you just know will be gone in 2-3 years.

I love reading all of these outsiders looking in at the Saints organization and pontificating on the situation like that have a clue.

Keep it up boys. Yall are great.

And that 10-6 season was a complete outlier as TB immediately regressed back to 4-12 the next season...losing 10 straight to end the season, which made his career record 17-31. He was on the Atlanta staff from 2015-2020. They know him well. In fact, if the players, coaches, and FO love him so much they could have made him the permanent HC following the 2020 season. They didn't.

There are a lot of parallel to Dennis Allen. Guy who got a HC job at a (relatively) young age...and had a losing record. Then went to a different organization where he spent several years on staff before ultimately being hired as the HC.

Is it possible that he has a great tenure as the Atlanta HC? Of course. But nothing in his past suggests that is likely. For a franchise who purportedly interviewed everyone under the sun, to settle on a re-tread whose record as a HC is unremarkable and the organization already passed on once for their HC job seems pretty underwhelming (not for Saints fans, of course, who are continuing to have to deal with their own version of such guy)

Currently the QB Coach in Seattle, but has bounced around as a QB coach or OC since TB

forced to get wins with Freeman at QB

Not sure how much say Morris had in the decision, but Freeman was the 1st draft pick under Mooris. So, not sure I would say "forced to get wins" with Freeman if Mooris had any say/input in the draft

NFC South is a dumpster fire.

After being damn strong for a while. It had a good run. Might take 5 years to get back there.

as bad as this division was look at how close it was up until the end this season.

I don't want to hear shite anymore about how easy a schedule may or may not be ever fricking again.

if we couldn't win this year than what changes next year?

Division games are always going to be tough. They are always going to be chippy. The familiarity of the opponent is a real thing.

Morris had some say. He was at KSU right before becoming Tampa HC, overlapping with Josh Freeman's freshman season there. He knew Freeman and was a believer in him.
