Does anyone else in here have direct TV and can’t watch their local fox channel? Mine has been out for a month or so due to contract issue. Also live in Alexandria

If you have good internet, I recommend getting rid of DirecTV immediately and streaming instead. I was stubborn and didn't do it until this year. It's one of the best decisions regarding home entertainment I've ever made. Less equipment, half the price, higher quality format, no BS contract...etc.

In NOLA, we have Fox 8, but ABC 26 is not available. I think it has to do with the local affiliate, and not so much the broadcast network.

I'm in the same boat as OP. Hope they get this resolved before season games start. And the baseball playoffs.

Fox and NBC was gone for me. Had to cut em off for the upcoming NFL and College Football.

Not too confident about them working it out. Fox has been gone for a while and now NBC. I’m looking for options for football.

It is a contract issue with Nexstar Media.

You are going to need an Antenna or another provider.

I have Directv and live in South Louisiana and I have Fox. I don’t have ABC. I’ve been looking into either Hulu or YouTube TV, just haven’t pull the trigger yet.

What is crazy, they are on the same tower, but the Fox antenna is lower and at less power.

I have one of those cheap antennas and when I am in Morgan City and WVLA comes in fairly easily along with the 2 other low power Morgan City stations. You may need a bigger antenna.

I switched to FuboTV and pay about $98 a month for just about everything they offer. DirecTV was charging me over $160 for the same lineup. That includes the local channels. I looked into YouTubeTV, and that's a good one too. YouTubeTV even offers NFL Sunday Ticket. Online is definitely the way to go nowadays. Another thing I love about it is I can cancel anytime I want with absolutely no penalty. If I vacation for a month, or I just decide I don't need it after football season, I can just cancel and sign back up when I'm ready.

Don't count on it, local Fox affiliate in Shreveport has been in dispute with Direct TV since last season.

BTR area long time DirecTV customer here - no NBC for over 1 year and have been without FOX for a few months. Them going without FOX is the reason that I ended my service with them on Saturday after being a customer for over 16 years - now I am with REV (EATEL)
