LeBron is going to get his, that’s a given. Jonas can beat up on AD if Willie gives him the time to do it but he will still get his 20 pts 10 rebs. If we take out there other two scorers along with Hachimura though I like our chances. Herb on Reaves all game IMO.

LeBron having 8 assists in the 1st Q was the ultimate disrespect. It was literal child’s play for him. That’s why I’ve always been a bit hesitant to anoint our defense. They shite the bed when it matters

Lebron on his JJ podcast talked about how teams are now playing zone defense and how even his son could disect it. Lebron went crazy when Willie went to zone. There are certain players you CANNOT play zone against- Lebron is one of them. Hes just too smart. Problem is Willie as usual didn’t adjust and kept playing zone- lebron in half had a career high in assists. Against high IQ players you need high IQ coaches and players. We just don’t have that.

My prediction: Willie hasn't learned shite, leaves JV on bench. LeBron does just enough, they get the W.

I agree it might be closer but Lakers pull it out in the end. The only hope is Trey and CJ start hitting everything like against the warriors and we build a huge lead. We MAYBE hold on and win it. That honestly is the only way.

This isn’t a shite on Herb take at all but just calling a spade a spade that he can be very hit or miss from deep. Our starting lineup is just so in-cohesive when there’s CJ at primary deep threat and Herb at secondary deep threat. I know I’m not saying anything groundbreaking I’m just anticipating the same old song and dance tonight because our starting lineup is just not built properly with BI out there refusing to take 3’s. If we’re going to limit BI’s minutes like we did last game then it makes so much more sense to bring him off the bench when Zion needs rest. The people want Trey Murphy the 3rd

The podcast talking about Luka tells you enough, you don't play zone or blitz lebron because he knows how to read defenses in the half court. It's why having him and curry team up would have been scary.

Yup its just like blitzing Brady or Mahomes. They’ll tear you apart. What was odd was Willie kept doing it. Like another coach would have scrapped it after 2 possessions. These are in game issues that Willie does that are mind boggling.

Agree on your overall strategy but think primary focus should be defending high pick action with any combo of Russell/Reaves/LaDrama and AD. It really is going to take a sustained effort on defense from the team. Agree, Pels need to be physical with AD and guards need to pressure Russell and Reaves. Pels attack on defense and get in transition and Pels win, that's there identity, they need to embrace it.

agree on the JV, let him earn his 6 fouls and beat the hell out of AD early to frustrate him.
Usually i say keep teams away from the 3 and odds will be in your favor, but we were so bad in the paint it didn't matter Sunday.
Need to mix in Naji mostly to frustrate LJ and put Zion on him the rest. Z wants this franchise on his back he needs to contain the old man.

I would say this would’nt bother a healthy AD but he does have back spasms so this tactic might actually work. Back spasms are no joke-will be really interested to see how he plays.

i would try trapping LeBron with BI and Zion to try to mess up his tempo a bit and stop him from facilitating line he did last game. I know it would leave someone open but I would challenge Hachimura to hit the shot rather than LeBron or AD on a layup.

I would highly advise not doing this. He’s going to have 25 assists in the game if we do this. Lebron, again I dislike him, but hes way too smart if you start trapping him. Best way is to send a late double when needed but definitely dont trap.

Agreed you are right. He’s very crafty in his old age. None of it matters though if Zion plays scared again and won’t attack LeBron and get to the basket. Make him expend energy defending. And for the love of god get the ball to Jonas in the post on that pussy wearing 3!

Part of the problem there is that the Lakers just dont frickin miss when they play us. Makes it easier for Bron to get those assist when whoever he dishes to is guaranteed to make it.
