Gafford could have solved so many problems for this team.. they got him for 1 1st and richaun holmes. Griffin sitting on his hands as usual

A shite 1st too. The 26th pick in a terrible draft. I was screaming to trade our pick plus larry for gafford at the deadline. Such a low cost easy upgrade right in front of our eyes. We could have probably even gotten a couple 2nds back from the wizards considering our 1st was better and Larry is way better than Richaun Holmes

I know coaches are the easy scapegoats but I think all of us called that one after the Beal trade… poorly fitting and too injured to succeed.

They should have fired the GM who thought brining in the worst contract in the NBA was a good idea.

My guess is that the new owner pushed for that and the GM signed off on it.

Well the owner isn't going to fire himself.

I mean.. call it smart if you want but as a fan it’s just not entertaining to watch a FT shooting contest. That’s not what makes basketball a great sport

It's why I've gone out to my way to watch exactly 0 minutes of the playoffs since the Pelicans were eliminated.

About as stupid as the Lakers Westbrook trade years ago. Those trades really broke those teams.,

The refs called a completely different game from Game 1. They weren't calling fouls every time SGA entered the lane, and DAL just made more 3s.

Kyrie worked his arse off on defense to make up for Luka being almost immobile most of the time.

This series feels destined to go 7 though.. The games all reek of referees making it so.

A stupid owner will continue to be a stupid owner.

A GM who doesn’t make that deal is unemployed while one who does gets to stay around a bit longer.

Call it the Billy King effect given how badly the Nets were mismanaged when Prokorov wanted to make a big splash upon moving to Portland.

They gave up a pick which became Dames to start that mess because they only felt there were a few players worth getting in that draft and continued it with the KG/Pierce trade which made the Celtics for the last decade by giving them all the talent and picks they needed to succeed even if they didn’t win a chip.

Good games today, Boston without KP needs to win. Guess Dort rules are off when it comes to Luca, although he did show how to counter (force contact) his defensive style. Gotta love the NBA postseason, different game than the regular season.

Entirely different game, you can be the best regular season player in the league but if you can’t do it in the playoffs it’ll never result in anything meaningful.
I think Zion can be an outstanding playoff player, really hope we improve the roster around him so we can see it next season. I think this is the last time I can still loyally say “next season” though. My patience is wearing thin with some new bs always pushing us back to next year. Truthfully it’s always been the Zion injuries

For sure, crazy thing is there are a lot of young teams that didn't make the playoffs that'll contend for spots next year. I like the play-off competition, playing physical basketball (lot of running and pressing) every other day, like a war of attrition. A lot of the outcome is who can hold up and maintain their game. Pels training staff did a good job keeping the team healthy this year.

Ultimately all that matters is if Zion is injured. Idc if I’m a homer, I think we beat OKC if Zion is healthy. Dude played 70 games and still got injured at the worst damn time. Just fricking sucks. Zion is a freak of nature that makes every player better on the court. I am not content making the playoffs. I want this team to compete, I will stop watching if it becomes apparent this is an organization complacent making the playoffs

He’s a great role player: spots up, plays hard defense, and crashes the boards hard. Type of player that can fit on every team in the NBA
