Willie has to pull the plug on that as soon as possible, right?

It was absolute shite and the spacing was an abomination. BI actually did what he could with just a bad lineup

Probably the biggest negative on a good night, besides the last 3 minutes

Kira needs to be playing on another team as soon as physically possible.

I can't think that anyone would take him outright. He would have to be a throw in in a larger deal, or you'd have to give up 2nds for someone to even consider taking him.

He's just not an NBA player.

Once Jose comes back you have to expect he rarely ever sees the court for us again.

Probably need more of a sample size. Good defensive lineup but Kira needs to be able to consistently hit shots. Tweak it with Alvarado when he comes back and it's probably very viable.

I was not impressed with Dyson either. He still has a ton of trouble finishing at the rim and is hesitant on shots.

We have plenty of samplesize on those guys individually to put high odds on that lineup never working

Obviously things change with a healthy Jose and Trey.

But for the time being, maybe you play a Matt Ryan instead of one of Kira/Dyson/Herb in that lineup

I am confident in Dyson's other skills to give him minutes and let him develop. Its only game 1 of year 2 for him, and he has the defense, size, and ball handling to see the court.

Kira isn't going to happen

four non shooters and Ingram doesn’t have a high probability of success

I just don't get the lineup.

I think they did ok outscoring Memphis, but if I recall, it was mostly BI just hitting a couple of really tough, contested midrange shots.

I thought his defense was excellent and he always rebounds well. It was great watching the defense with him and Herb on the court together.

I agree with this. He acts like he is scared the rim will bite him

I know he had back issues that kept him out of preseason, but he wasn't on the injured list. He is the 3rd string center. Those guys play in maybe half the games in a given year. Jaxson and Billy only played 47 and 38 games last year.

That lineup had an 107.1 ORTG and 92.3 DRTG with a 14.8 Net last night.

Cool, watch the lineup. BI kept it afloat by nailing some highly contested shots. That is not a good lineup at all

Well that's his game. Keep nitpicking after a good night for those guys.

Process vs results

Also, "that's his game" is why he has not reached his ceiling on how good he actually can be.

That's literally the time when you really want BI to be BI. And for good reason.

That's somewhat fair, but I can guarantee you that a BI lineup where the offense is BI shoots tough, contested midrange shots will be a below average lineup with a large enough sample size.

BI is one of the best midrange specialists in the games, and yet his midrange shot is still an inefficient shot.

The issue is, it's a shot he can get at any time he wants, so work the offense, run a set, try to get an actual efficient shot. If that doesn't work, I'm 100% happy with BI taking a contested middle late in the shot clock.

I think substituting Jose for Kira can make it a big plus.

Kira is just so clunky. He gets to the lane on offense but isn't a good passer or finisher. He plays solid on ball defense but doesn't really create any turnovers.

Jose is great at getting to the lane and dishing or finishing. And he is an absolute turnover machine on defense. I think that lineup with him will create a lot of transition baskets while locking opponents up.
