It’s actually hilarious how turnovers are his highest stat every game.

So far in this series he's literally been:

-Our worst defensive player by a mile
-Horrendous shooting from literally anywhere
-Turning the ball over like crazy

There is just no way you can watch this as an FO/Staff and move forward with him on the team next year, let alone in the same role

Well, he is highly likely to be here next season with that contract, I'd make him the 6th man where you can somewhat hide him defensively. He is really really bad on defense.

His shooting in the postseason has been abysmal.

CJ from 3 this postseason:

Game 3 vs OKC - 2 of 8
Game 2 @ OKC - 1 of 5
Game 1 @ OKC - 2 of 9

Total - 5 of 22 (23% - 81st in Playoffs which is 2nd to last in 3 point shooting in Playoffs)

Play-In vs Kings - 1 of 2
Play-In vs Lakers - 1 of 9

Total (including play-in) - 7 of 33 (21%)

Regular Season - 43% (7th in NBA)

He's always been considered a bad playoff guy. Also none of this series has been in the clutch since gm 1.

I've seen him in 3 post-season series, one in Portland against the Pels and two with the Pels and it's been ugly. He had one good game in the lot, game 4 of the sweep of Portland in all of those contests.

he's been a good regular season player for us, a good leader. He plays hurt when others sit for hangnails. I like the guy but it seems when the playoff intensity ratchets up he withers.

I'm more inclined to be forgiving of CJs play because with Zion hurt he is playing so far outside of his role that we wanted from him. And to his credit, he changed his shot diet this year and bought in to what we wanted and it worked. He had his most efficient season. I really wanted to see the new playoff CJ playing off of the gravity of point Zion. Without him, he's being forced back into the type of game he abandoned for the betterment of the team, and himself really, and the results speak for themselves. I'm really not mad at CJ and don't mind him coming back next year as catch n shoot, consistent 20pt high %, high 3pt volume CJ. We just need Zion healthy.

BI is another story but that's for another thread.
