It’s a short series, but Hugo Weaving played Benedict Cumberbatch’s dad in a show called Patrick Melrose and they don’t show it, but the dad sexually abuses his son, which is absolutely stomach churning and I can’t think of a more horrifying, hateable, loathsome villain than that.

His most obvious role to me is probably from "Cinderella Man", and he was great in that.

In fact, I think a good tv show can inherently have a better villain than a good movie because we become more vested in the characters (good and bad) over time.
