The show is actually really good. Gay stuff doesn’t happen until like the 8th episode. I don’t wanna give it away but the kid has a disorder and doesn’t really know what he’s doing. There’s some virtue signaling in that episode, but the rest of the show has been great.

Does it actually go with the movie? I have zero issues with homosexual themes and such if it actually works in the movie. It's when they are rammed through purely to check a box I get annoyed. I get similarly annoyed when other shite (Marvel with their big lasers, Michael Bay with explosions, Fast and Furious with Family) becomes check the box style shite too.
