Why are all these incel dudes ok with Sigourney in Alien movies and Hamilton is T movies?
I think it is more we hate bad actresses in bad movies rather than strong women.

i don't think that Brie is a bad actress. she truly was great and deserving of accolades in Room. That being said, getting cast as a greatly overpowered character in Captain Maevel did some things to her head.
I compare her role in CM to Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot managed to capture power and femininity in a wonderful way. Nobody came away from WW thinking that Gal Gadot was a raging B. We just enjoyed the movie and understood her for the Goddess that she was. She didn't need to beat on her chest and say "accept me." We did because she encapsulated the character so well. Larson demanded that we accept a wooden role with inferior writing and girl power because she was female.
