The Acolyte’s cast is just insulting at this point

Is this really going to be one of their shows? The first trailer and I am not sure who thought the whole fight with the force thing was cool; it looks stupid.

However, acting like “woke” is the only reason for the problems with Marvel and Disney is in itself also extremely lazy and a terrible take. The MCU isn’t experiencing problems because of “woke” it’s due to over saturation as well as a universe feeling sort of empty and without a plan. In the Infinity saga we knew the main players and we knew the goal would be eventually the Infinity stones. Now? We know it’s a multiverse and Kang exists but that’s about it. We certainly don’t know the main players or feel any sort of connection between the movies and shows.

But writing for woken essay is exactly what leads to most of these problems.

And I guarantee that if films were universally as good as 2018 or 2019 in terms of the MCU, no one would care how many there were.

There was a point when there were like 3 films released in theaters and Agents of Shield on and the Netflix shows were on. And they were all successful.

There are no main characters because they are stuck with non main characters and they refuse to make the classics because of gender and race.

Disney simply made a marketing mistake. In a way, you can't fault them for trying.

You ASSUME Star Wars and the MCU has the male viewers locked up. They normally are good for huge numbers.
There's as many females as males, largely untouched by these films. If you could get a big chunk of them too- say, maybe a block about a quarter to a third of the size of the male audience in addition- you're talking enormous numbers. Half as many females as males IF you keep the males, and you're replacing Avatar at the top, with established properties. You're talking massive profits, coming once a year over and over.

But they misjudged. They didn't capture the female share, and they pissed off and lost a big chunk of the male share. Most people could probably see this coming, but someone at the top thought it was worth the gamble. If they HAD scored, it would have made many people rich.

Sometimes, you have to temper your greed, and realize that even a Star Wars or comic book nerd can be pushed away from your product, if you don't take care of him. I think they thought that was impossible.
